KAYLA ROBERTS

"I have gained so much knowledge. Kayla has brought back my motivation and made going to the gym fun again.
Highly recommend for anyone on the search for a PT. She cares, she pushes you, and she wants to see you succeed."
"I was really impressed with Kayla's extensive knowledge and supporting nature. I lost a lot of weight and am finally feeling strong again after what felt like no time at all, but the true value of the experience came from the confidence it gave me."
"For the first time since my 20s, I feel strong and capable, and Kayla has definitely been the defining difference. She absolutely knows her stuff. She's kind, gentle, and firm all rolled into one. I can always trust that her main focus is what's best for me.

About Kayla Made Strength
Q&A WITH KAYLA
What’s one gym myth you wish you could debunk?
That the gym or personal training is only for people who are “already fit.”
What’s your go-to snack when craving something sweet?
Currently re-heated protein pancakes with maple syrup!
What’s your favourite weight training exercise and why?
Barbell Conventional Deadlifts! I love doing them and they were the first lift that showed me just how strong I could be. Hitting a 100kg deadlift for the first time is still one of the major highlights of my gym journey.
How do you stay motivated on days when you’re not feeling it?
I tell myself to at least warm up and do the first exercise, and then see how I feel. 8/10 times I’d say I end up carrying on to do the whole session once I’ve started it. The best sessions are often the ones you wanted to skip!
If you could train with any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Probably Nikki Blackketter. She was one of my first examples of a woman weight training for muscle growth. Following her lead, I started talking about my own fitness journey on Instagram, which later grew into a significant part of my online coaching business. Training with her would be a cool full circle moment for me!
What’s a piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting their fitness journey?
People often struggle to find momentum with their exercise habits in the early days due to feeling tired, but exercise can energise you! Being able to distinguish between mental tiredness, e.g. from a long day at work with lots of decision making etc., and actual *physical* tiredness is worth learning with trial and error.
